Tom Parker has been active in writing songs and musical arrangements for church services since 1966.  Some of his best known compositions are "Be Consoled, My People", "We Come to Join in Your Banquet of Love", and "Praise the Lord, My Soul."  His material has been published by World Library Publications and GIA Publications.  His music is found in the Catholic Liturgy of the Hours, the Gather hymnal, and was performed on several occasions for Pope John Paul II during his visits to the United States.
